On a solo drive to the Grand Canyon's North Rim Eric spotted a herd of Bison. Excited, he pulled over to capture them with a compact digital camera. The results were disappointing but it provided a personal challenge to improve. As a youth, Eric loved taking photographs and spent time in the darkroom. When the opportunity came he bought his first digital DSLR camera. As he got better so did his equipment. Editing photos lead to graphic designing and putting layouts together. Each of the acquire skill complimented each other making opening up new opportunities for Eric as a creative professional.

EC Photographics (ECP) was started by Eric Cheng as an extension of himself. His creative career oddly began as a restaurant manager. Putting up the holiday displays was one of his responsibilities. Each time the displays got grander and rivaled those of professionally done storefronts. He decided designing is what he rather pursue and studied Interior Design. While making a catering delivery Eric noticed that office he was at was a design studio. He made a pitch to the Design Director and was hired. Since then Eric has worked on high-profiled accounts such as McDonalds, Boston Markets, and Panda Expresses helping them with their environments and enhancing their brands. He also expanded his design reach in other projects from to corporate offices.
